My Favourite Recipe: The Orange-Date Cake This cake recipe is my all time favorite which has earned the title of: "Riaan's Birthday Cake"! Since my 13th birthday and for many years until her passing, my grandmother would ask me what I wanted for my birthday. The answer was always the same: "two Orange-Date cakes!" Hence she would bake two cakes from this recipe every year for me as my birthday present. I am honored to have been instructed first hand by Grandma on how to bake this cake.
